Unfulfilled and directionlessby Goal Setter on 16 Nov 2011 permalink
Ever wondered what it takes to achieve something? It takes a dream and a dreamer - that's all!
As you bump through life from one experience to another you can take either of two choices: batten down the hatches and hope you will sail through this mess unharmed or channel your righteous anger and fan into flames the fire in your belly to correct a bad situation. Leaders lead and followers look for cover. (Hoping they are following the right leader...) When you come across something which isn't quite right do you daydream as to how it could be fixed? Isn't there a better way to indifference and complacency? Some people get a spark of inspiration all at once; others get bits and pieces along the way.One thing is sure. You are unique and there is a task, an achievement just made for you. It has been waiting there since the beginning of time and no-one else has the skill, the experience and the drive to do anything about it. In fact the more you talk to people about it the more frustrated you become that they don't seem to get a grip on your issue like you do. They are not wired to resonate with this task. It is not theirs - it's truly yours! That's why you were born, genius! It's not easy to carry that burden by yourself but hey, think of the reward. Build a skeleton and then flesh it out with layer upon layer of constructive ideas. Some people had to repeat the same experiment thousand of times to get their breakthrough. Think of Thomas Edison. Some people had to stay in jail for almost a lifetime until their got recognised. Think of Nelson Mandella. When are you going to decide to make your mark in humanity? How many unknown people are there out there waiting to benefit from your breakthrough? Don't do it just for yourself - do it for them. That should be motivating enough. If you are a mother at home raising children you know exactly what I mean. A good mother dreams their future into each child. She tells them stories. Is it to send them to sleep so that she can have a life of her own? Not always. She may be dreaming big dreams for little people... If you are a father with a family to support are you just coasting along or building a better future for them? If your own father came short of your expectations what are you prepared to do for the next generation?
